Technician could return to ParisLongchamp on Saturday following his success there for the Prix Royal-Oak on October 27.
The Martyn Meade-trained three-year-old colt bounced back from defeat in the William Hill St Leger to land the Group Two Prix Chaudenay.
Meades first reaction was to put Technician off for the season, however, the horse seems to have accepted the race so well that the next trip to France – the time for a Group One mission – may be on the cards.
I was really delighted. I believe he put up a terrific performance. It showed he adored the ground and relished the trip as well, said that the Manton handler.
I dont believe he might have done it any better and also the style in that he did it was actually great , to mow down the opposition in the way he did.
Hes come from this race as good as ever – bucking and re – so thats always a wonderful sign.
My first reaction after that he won was that he would not run again, however theres yet another Group One back at Longchamp. We may consider it since he appears to be in such good form.
I despise over-running him, but he has not had that many starts complete, therefore I might consider it. It was not in my head, but the way he is looking at the moment, I would have to look at it.
