Steam Games or Weak Lines?
Below we will isolate some of school soccer, focusing on FBS matchups. Let’s try to ascertain whether the college football odds on these games are moving because the wise men”know something” or as it was a lousy line to begin with and has been manipulated from the sharps.
We’ve identified three line shifts that were heavy since the steam is blowing in this direction, and it is up to you to determine whether to catch the group with greater value, or move the opposite way and take a number. Without further ado, let us go!
South Alabama vs Nebraska (Saturday, August 31st, 12:00 PM ET)
That number has swelled to as large as 36 1/2 in a number of the best sportsbooks, although the Cornhuskers started as a whopping 32-point home preferred from the regarded South Alabama Jaguars.
Nebraska attracted a lot of attention after completing strong year by winning four of the last six contests. Much is expected of this Huskers and next year mentor Scott Frost, as his group is currently ranked 24th to start the season even though a 4-8 record this past year.
Much of this hype has delivered online as by stomping a tin can like South Alabama Nebraska will look to prove worthy of the billing, spiraling upward.
South Carolina vs North Carolina (Saturday, August 31st, 3:30 PM ET)
As 7 1/2 stage favorites started but that amount has spiked to as high as 11 in many of the foreign books. First and foremost, this game is not being played in Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina but in a site, the Bank of America Stadium.
Just because a team is right of this”vs” does not necessarily mean they are at home and it takes the people a few days to figure out that. In addition, this rivalry has been owned by South Carolina moving 6-1 ATS in their last seven neutral site matches, in addition to winning six of the last seven encounters against the Tar Heels.
That document is in stark contrast to the 1-5 ATS markers in neutral-site events of North Carolina. The sharps also offers a whiff of this Heels 0-4 ATS record so it is little wonder why the’Cocks are getting heavy play .
Duke vs Alabama (Saturday, August 31st, 3:30 PM ET)
Expectations for Nick Saban’s team are always through the roof and this year is no different. The Crimson Tide embarks on which must be another national tournament voyage this season and the very first casualty is going to be the Duke Blue Devils.
The oddsmakers know the hype train that follows Tide soccer which is why they installed them last year as a 30-point house favorite from a group in Duke that went 8-5 and conquered Temple from the Independence Bowl.
Sure, Duke was no contender, nor are they this year, but getting into a bowl game and winning it convincingly has to account for something, right? But not in the squares that never saw a number large enough to prevent them from getting back on the Tide’s world.
As of this writing, Alabama has become a 33 1/2 point that Dylan Moses, their celebrity linebacker, injured his knee and will probably be out for the year. The reduction of the defensive captain of these Tide did not make a whit of difference to the public, that will throw their money into the fire!
