The Golden State Warriors take on the Toronto Raptors for Its 2019 NBA Championship.
The Warriors will be looking to win their third consecutive title and their fourth in the last five years, while the Raptors will want to win their first-ever title. The Warriors got past the Clippers, Rockets and Trail Blazers to win the Western Conference, while the Raptors defeated the Magic, 76ers, and Bucks to win the Eastern Conference. Golden State is about a 3-1 favorite to win the best-of-seven show, but the Raptors will possess the home-court advantage.
The Warriors will be without Kevin Durant for the first game of the show, however, Golden State still has a powerful lineup featuring Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Golden State may get Durant back at a certain point in the show and they might also get DeMarcus Cousins back from injury.
The Raptors are directed by Kawhi Leonard that has been spectacular in the playoffs, averaging 31.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Toronto has also gotten a powerful play of late from copy guard Fred VanVleet who has scored in double-figures in 3 straight games.
Golden State might be without Durant, but as long as they’ve Curry at the lineup they are tough to beat. Curry is averaging 35.8 points at the previous five Golden State wins. The Raptors defeated the Warriors at both regular-season meetings, winning 131-128 at home in late November and 113-93 at Golden State in mid-December.
